John Stukel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomechanical Engineering at Michigan State University where he focused his studies in human gait mechanics and body-machine interface. He then acquired his Master’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Eastern Michigan University. Afterwards, he completed his residency at Wright & Filippis and became certified in 2016.John has extensive experience in lower extremity orthoses to assist in both neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions. Additionally, he regularly treats sports injuries with custom fit and custom fabricated devices from all major manufacturers. He likes to maintain an open line of communication with the patient, physician, and therapist to ensure the best care is given. John also often reaches out to local skilled nursing facilities ensuring all patients receive adequate treatment in the field of Orthotics.John was born and raised in Plymouth, Michigan and he currently lives in Livonia with his wife and dog. His interests range from board games and trivia to football and powerlifting.
